THE MONUMENTS OF INDIA: THE BEAUTY OF INDIA Monuments are the beauty of our country and play a vital role in the country’s economy. They are the center of attraction for the tourists. Some of the monuments are Taj Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Qutub Minar, Char Minar, Kornak Sun Temple, and Ashok Stambh. As Indians, we must know at least about the famous ones. QUTUB MINAR Qutub Minar was built in 1193. It was built by Qutub-ud-din Aibak. Qutub Minar was built to celebrate the dominance of the Muslims in Delhi. It is well known for its height which measures 73 meters high to the sky. Qutub Minar is made with five stories and projecting balconies. The first three stories out of five are made with the help of red sandstone and the remaining two are made with marble and sandstone.
